Research Center was established to promote scholarly research in Kurdistan Regional Governments and to implement the following objectives:

• Undertaking and publishing innovative interdisciplinary research in collaboration with local and international partners.

• Building research capacity of scholars through involving them in innovative research projects and research training activities.

• Connecting SPU researchers to local and international research and funding opportunities and top scholars in their fields.

• Providing and enabling access to research facilities and resources.

• Offering research and development consultancy to public and private sectors and local and international NOGs and organizations.
